This honor is awarded to SDSS students, their family members, and instructors that have demonstrated a great amount of kindness, compassion, and selflessness to others.  It is awarded to those that live their life in accordance with improving the quality of life for their family and others.  These individuals have gone well above and beyond the “call of duty,” and have given to others with no expectation of anything in return.

Spirit of Shaolin Award recipients are SDSS students of any age.  These individuals have to demonstrate a passion for improving the quality of life for someone else.  This is not a community service award.
