We have a very special company event coming on Saturday, March 20th. SDSS will be hosting our, 1st Annual SDSS Anniversary and Black Belt Hall of Fame and awards Banquet! This will be a day focused around Family Events.
Here is the itinerary:
8:30 AM Black Belt Test; Black Belt Jr. Level Test; CI and full time instructors Re certification
1:00-3:00 PM (Kids Belt Advancement)
1:00-3:00 PM Jr. Black Belt Advancement
1:30-3:00 PM Kids Green-Brown Belt Advancement
3:30 -5:00 PM Family Seminar: Grandmaster Steve DeMasco will be teaching Anti Bulling and personal safety techniques for Children and Teens. This Event is Free to all Parents and Grandparents.
5:00-5:45 PM Special Book and Belt signing with Grandmaster Steve DeMasco
5:45-8:30 PM Doors Open Grand SDSS Banquet and Awards Ceremony
1. Grand 3 course dinner
2. Inductions into the Black Belt Hall of Fame
3. Spirit of Shaolin Award
4. Children's Leadership Award
5. Announcement of SDSS Scholarship Fund
The Invitations to this great event will be printed and sent to you, along with a poster. For the kids test, Grandmaster will be making a special appearance and they will be recognized at the banquet dinner.
SDSS International Hall of Fame Awards Inductees
All students and their family members are welcome to nominate an individual for one of these prestigious awards. All nominations should be emailed to Grandmaster Steve DeMasco’s email address, stevedemasco@aol.com. Please include your name, the nominee’s name, studio location, and the reason for the nomination.

SDSS Lifetime Martial Arts Achievement Award (Begins 2010)
The Lifetime Martial Arts Achievement Award is extremely prestigious, and the highest honor one can receive in the martial arts world. It exemplifies a person that has dedicated his life to training and instructing the martial arts. It is a person that has overcome great odds and adversity by living the martial arts code of never giving up. It is a person that truly believes that it is not the material wealth that defines his life, but what he gives back by improving the life of others. This person serves as an inspiration to all of us.
SDSS Youth Leadership Award (Begins 2010)
This honor is awarded to youth that have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. To those martial arts students that set an example of how a young person should conduct themselves at home, in school and in public; one that leads by example.

| July 1st | Day 2: | Visit Tian an men square and Forbidden City. Chinese tea ceremony. Beijing old Hutong area. | |
| July 2nd | Day 3: | Badaling, Great wall with cable car ride. Cloisonne factory, Olympic Park | |
| July 3rd | Day 4: | Flight Beijing/Tibet Lhasa. Arrive in Lhasa. En route to the city, visit Tibetan village, Buddha carving. Guided walk through famous Barkhor. | |
| July 4th | Day 5: | Visit the Potala (Red and White Palace), Tour Drepung Monastery | |
| July 5th | Day 6: | Visit Jorkhang Monastery, lunch, listen to Debating class in Sera Monastery | |
| July 6th | Day 7: | Transfer flight to Zhengzhou, Shaolin Temple area | |
| July 7th | Day 8: | Meeting Shaolin Abbot, Kung-Fu exchange with Shaolin Warrior Monks in morning. Afternoon, Kung-Fu training with Shaolin Warrior Monks. Night time theatrical Kung-Fu show. | |
