Westport Tournament Pride!
For us, the Open Tournament is about much more than medals or trophies. It’s about putting yourself out there, and it’s about celebrating everything we’ve learned together over the years. This year’s tournament was a very proud day for SDSS of Westport, when several of our students participated in a wide range of events, including Forms, Defensive Techniques, and Weapons.
“The competition was some of the best I’ve seen,” said Grandmaster DeMasco. ”That really says something about our students and their instructors.”
It also says something about our families, who support our students in their Kung Fu journey all year long. Regardless of the result, it is incredible to see our students grow each year. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
Next year’s competitions begin on March 10, with the Shaolin Olympics Regional, right here at our home studio. We’re going to begin preparations later this month!
